Who we are

This website (common-studio.co.uk) is operated by Common Studio, the trading name of Jed Hackling, a sole trader based in England, of Turnpike House, Southend-on-Sea, Leigh-on-Sea, SS9 2UA.

What information we collect

If you get in touch through our contact form, or email us directly, we collect whatever you provide — typically your name, email address, and the contents of your message.

We don't use tracking cookies or analytics that identify you personally, and we don't collect any information automatically beyond standard, anonymous web server logs handled by our hosting provider.

Why we collect it

We only use the information you send us to respond to your enquiry and discuss your project. We do not use it for marketing, and we will never sell or rent it to anyone else.

How we store it

Enquiries sent through our contact form are delivered to our business email account (hosted with Google Workspace) and stored there like any other email. We don't hold your information in a separate database or CRM.

Who else sees it

We use a small number of third-party services to run this website and respond to enquiries, who may process your data on our behalf:

• Google Workspace — hosts our business email
• Cloudflare — hosts and delivers this website

We don't share your information with anyone else, and we don't use these providers' data for advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details only for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you and manage any resulting work together, and delete them once they're no longer needed.

Cookies

This website does not currently set any tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies. If that changes in future (for example, if we add privacy-friendly analytics), we'll update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

• ask what personal data we hold about you
• ask us to correct or delete it
• object to how we're using it
• ask us to restrict how we use it
